Bismillah al rahman al rahim

وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوًۭا Arabic By those [winds] that scatter far and wide, English - Abdel Haleem

فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرًۭا Arabic And those that are heavily laden, English - Abdel Haleem

فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرًۭا Arabic That speed freely, English - Abdel Haleem

فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًا Arabic That distribute [rain] as ordained! English - Abdel Haleem

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌۭ Arabic What you [people] are promised is true: English - Abdel Haleem

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭ Arabic The Judgement will come–– English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْحُبُكِ Arabic By the sky with its pathways, English - Abdel Haleem

إِنَّكُمْ لَفِى قَوْلٍۢ مُّخْتَلِفٍۢ Arabic You differ in what you say–– English - Abdel Haleem

يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ Arabic Those who turn away from it are [truly] deceived. English - Abdel Haleem

قُتِلَ ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ Arabic Perish the liars, English - Abdel Haleem

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍۢ سَاهُونَ Arabic Those steeped in error and unaware! English - Abdel Haleem

يَسْـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ Arabic They ask, ‘When is this Judgement Day coming?’ English - Abdel Haleem

يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ Arabic On a Day when they will be punished by the Fire, English - Abdel Haleem

ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ Arabic ‘Taste the punishment! This is what you wished to hasten.’ English - Abdel Haleem

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍ Arabic The righteous will be in Gardens with [flowing] springs. English - Abdel Haleem

ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ Arabic They will receive their Lord’s gifts because of the good they did before: English - Abdel Haleem

كَانُوا۟ قَلِيلًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ Arabic Sleeping only little at night, English - Abdel Haleem

وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ Arabic Praying at dawn for God’s forgiveness, English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّۭ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ Arabic Giving a rightful share of their wealth to the beggar and the deprived. English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ءَايَٰتٌۭ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ Arabic On earth there are signs for those with sure faith–– English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ Arabic And in yourselves too, do you not see?–– English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ Arabic In the sky is your sustenance and all that you are promised. English - Abdel Haleem

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّۭ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ Arabic By the Lord of the heavens and earth! All this is as real as your speaking. English - Abdel Haleem

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ Arabic [Muhammad], have you heard the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? English - Abdel Haleem

إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا ۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٌۭ قَوْمٌۭ مُّنكَرُونَ Arabic They went in to see him and said, ‘Peace.’ ‘Peace,’ he said, [adding to himself] ‘These people are strangers.’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍۢ سَمِينٍۢ Arabic He turned quickly to his household, brought out a fat calf, English - Abdel Haleem

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ Arabic And placed it before them. ‘Will you not eat?’ he said, English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةًۭ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٍۢ Arabic Beginning to be afraid of them, but they said, ‘Do not be afraid.’ They gave him good news of a son who would be gifted with knowledge. English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍۢ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌۭ Arabic His wife then entered with a loud cry, struck her face, and said, ‘A barren old woman?’ English - Abdel Haleem

قَالُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ Arabic But they said, ‘It will be so. This is what your Lord said, and He is the Wise, the All Knowing.’ English - Abdel Haleem

قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ Arabic Abraham said, ‘What is your errand, messengers?’ English - Abdel Haleem

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍۢ مُّجْرِمِينَ Arabic They said, ‘We are sent to a people lost in sin, English - Abdel Haleem

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةًۭ مِّن طِينٍۢ Arabic To bring down rocks of clay, English - Abdel Haleem

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ Arabic Marked by your Lord for those who exceed all bounds.’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ Arabic We brought out such believers as were there– English - Abdel Haleem

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ Arabic We found only one household devoted to God– English - Abdel Haleem

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ Arabic And left the town to be a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ Arabic There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. English - Abdel Haleem

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌۭ Arabic Pharaoh turned away with his supporters, saying, ‘This is a sorcerer, or maybe a madman,’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ Arabic So We seized him and his forces and threw them into the sea: he was to blame. English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ Arabic There is another sign in the 'Ad: We sent the life-destroying wind against them English - Abdel Haleem

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ Arabic And it reduced everything it came up against to shreds. English - Abdel Haleem

وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ Arabic And also in the Thamud: it was said to them, ‘Make the most of your lives for a while,’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ Arabic But they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the blast took them. They looked on helplessly: English - Abdel Haleem

فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍۢ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ Arabic They could not even remain standing, let alone defend themselves. English - Abdel Haleem

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ Arabic Before that We destroyed the people of Noah. They were a truly sinful people! English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍۢ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ Arabic We built the heavens with Our power and made them vast, English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ Arabic We spread out the earth– how well We smoothed it out!– English - Abdel Haleem

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ Arabic And We created pairs of all things so that you [people] might take note. English - Abdel Haleem

فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ Arabic [So, say to them, Prophet], ‘Quickly, turn to God– I am sent by Him to give you clear warning– English - Abdel Haleem

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ Arabic And do not set up any other god alongside Him. I am sent by Him to give you clear warning!’ English - Abdel Haleem

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ Arabic Every previous people to whom a messenger was sent also said, ‘A sorcerer, or maybe a madman!’ English - Abdel Haleem

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ طَاغُونَ Arabic Did they tell one another to do this? No! They are a people who exceed all bounds, English - Abdel Haleem

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍۢ Arabic So ignore them [Prophet]– you are not to blame– English - Abdel Haleem

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ Arabic And go on reminding [people], it is good for those who believe to be reminded. English - Abdel Haleem

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ Arabic I created jinn and mankind only to worship Me: English - Abdel Haleem

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍۢ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ Arabic I want no provision from them, nor do I want them to feed Me– English - Abdel Haleem

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ Arabic God is the Provider, the Lord of Power, the Ever Mighty. English - Abdel Haleem

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًۭا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ Arabic The evildoers, like their predecessors, will have a share of punishment– they need not ask Me to hasten it– English - Abdel Haleem

فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ Arabic And woe betide those who deny the truth on the Day they have been promised. English - Abdel Haleem
