An-Nazi'at | Those Who Drag Forth | الـنازعات 79. Surah An-Nazi'at Those Who Drag Forth

Bismillah al rahman al rahim

وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ غَرْقًۭا Arabic By the forceful chargers English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًۭا Arabic Raring to go, English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًۭا Arabic Sweeping ahead at full stretch, English - Abdel Haleem

فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًۭا Arabic Overtaking swiftly English - Abdel Haleem

فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًۭا Arabic To bring the matter to an end, English - Abdel Haleem

يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ Arabic On the Day when the blast reverberates English - Abdel Haleem

تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ Arabic And the second blast follows, English - Abdel Haleem

قُلُوبٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاجِفَةٌ Arabic Hearts will tremble English - Abdel Haleem

أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌۭ Arabic And eyes will be downcast. English - Abdel Haleem

يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ Arabic They say, ‘What? shall we be brought back to life, English - Abdel Haleem

أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًۭا نَّخِرَةًۭ Arabic After we have turned into decayed bones?’ and they say, English - Abdel Haleem

قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًۭا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌۭ Arabic ‘Such a return is impossible!’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ Arabic But all it will take is a single blast, English - Abdel Haleem

فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ Arabic And they will be back above ground. English - Abdel Haleem

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ Arabic Have you [Prophet] heard the story of Moses? English - Abdel Haleem

إِذْ نَادَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ بِٱلْوَادِ ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى Arabic His Lord called out to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa: English - Abdel Haleem

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ Arabic ‘Go to Pharaoh, for he has exceeded all bounds, English - Abdel Haleem

فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ Arabic And ask him, “Do you want to purify yourself [of sin]? English - Abdel Haleem

وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ Arabic Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you may hold Him in awe?” ’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ Arabic Moses showed him the great sign, English - Abdel Haleem

فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ Arabic But he denied it and refused [the faith]. English - Abdel Haleem

ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ Arabic He turned away and hastily English - Abdel Haleem

فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ Arabic Gathered his people, proclaiming, English - Abdel Haleem

فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ Arabic ‘I am your supreme lord,’ English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ Arabic So God condemned him to punishment in the life to come as well as in this life: English - Abdel Haleem

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةًۭ لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ Arabic There truly is a lesson in this for anyone who stands in awe of God. English - Abdel Haleem

ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ ۚ بَنَىٰهَا Arabic Which is harder to create: you people or the sky that He built, English - Abdel Haleem

رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا Arabic Raising it high and perfecting it, English - Abdel Haleem

وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا Arabic Giving darkness to its night and bringing out its morning brightness, English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ Arabic And the earth, too, He spread out, English - Abdel Haleem

أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا Arabic Bringing waters and pastures out of it, English - Abdel Haleem

وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا Arabic And setting firm mountains [in it] English - Abdel Haleem

مَتَٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ Arabic For you and your animals to enjoy? English - Abdel Haleem

فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ Arabic When the great overwhelming event arrives English - Abdel Haleem

يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ Arabic On the Day that man remembers what he has done English - Abdel Haleem

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ Arabic And Hell is there for all to see, English - Abdel Haleem

فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ Arabic For anyone who has transgressed English - Abdel Haleem

وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا Arabic And preferred the present life English - Abdel Haleem

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ Arabic Hell will be home; English - Abdel Haleem

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ Arabic For anyone who feared the meeting with his Lord and restrained himself from base desires, English - Abdel Haleem

فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ Arabic Paradise will be home. English - Abdel Haleem

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا Arabic They ask you [Prophet] about the Hour, English - Abdel Haleem

فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ Arabic Saying, ‘When will it arrive?’, but how can you tell [them that]? English - Abdel Haleem

إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ Arabic Its time is known only to your Lord; English - Abdel Haleem

إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا Arabic You are only sent to warn those who fear it. English - Abdel Haleem

كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا Arabic On the Day they see it, it will seem they lingered [in this life] an evening [at most,] or its morning. English - Abdel Haleem
